Congrats to Nick for being elected (by a landslide!) to the “Trio” as Club Growth Director. We are very happy for your upcoming term!
Conference Updates – It was great seeing some of you at the District 48 Conference this weekend. I wish you all could have been there. There were a total of 245 people in attendance and we all enjoyed some great speakers, educational sessions, and Districts contests. One of the keynote speakers was the Toastmasters International Immediate Past President, Balraj Arunasalam, from Sri Lanka, and the other was Toastmasters International Accredited Speaker, Joe Grondin, from Canada.
Awards – Congratulations to TR Coverson, winner of the District 48 Humorous Speech Contest, representing Oldsmar Toastmasters. Congratulations to another Oldsmar member and Area 22 Director, Virginia Papadopoulos, for receiving the Outstanding Area Director Award for 3rd Quarter. Also, Nickolas Angelo, President of Trinity Odessa and Area 42 Director, received the Outstanding Area Director Award for 4th Quarter. Teresa Norton from Palm Harbor received the Outstanding Division Director Award for 4th Quarter, and our own Division B Director and member of The Order of Smedley, Jeannette Sweeney, received the Outstanding Division Director Award for 2nd Quarter. Congratulations are also in order for the new District Trio: Robyn Featherston – District Director, Freeman Morey – Program Quality Director, and Nickolas Angelo (President of Trinity Odessa) – Club Growth Director.
